Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Services

The Virtual OneStop Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Services module is an extensive case management tool designed with a user-friendly interface for staff and management at one-stop centers. It provides counselors, case managers, and other supervisory staff members the ability to create, track, and share information for participants who receive WIA Core and Intensive services and training. The online application forms, developed with specific WIA conformance data elements and business rules, assist staff in determining program eligibility, processing enrollment, tracking service activities, and assessing individuals. Available service components are:

The WIA Services component provides comprehensive assistance so users can easily and successfully complete a customer’s program portfolio. This includes WIA Title I and associated partner programs for Adults, Dislocated Workers, and Youth. Staff may rely upon text header instructions, help icons, and form links as guidance for successful form completion. Partner programs share key data to prevent duplicate data entry.

To facilitate Federal compliance, the Reports component has comprehensive Ad Hoc and Federal reporting options. Federal reporting options include the ETA 9090 Quarterly, WIA 9091 Annual, and 9002 ES Reports. To meet program compliance standards, the WIASRD file can be generated as well as breakdowns by Earnings Change, Total Exiters, Total New Registrants, Entered Employment, Employment Retention, Credential Rate, and Quarter Summaries.

In summary, the WIA Services module is a powerful tool for case management that gives staff a timesaving method to process client information. In the complex world of government rules, the Virtual OneStop WIA Services module provides a compass to guide one-stop staff through applications and service features with ease and effectiveness.
